Resignation Pro

Should I put in my letter of resignation? Details inside.?

I am taking 18 credhit hours in school and I am working 40 hours a week. I can't handle the load. I recently reapplied to my old job and I am only going to work on weekends. My coworkers don't want me to leave, but my GPA is a 2.4 and I need to get it up. I am not going to school for free. I can't even get an internship in my major with that GPA.

  1. OK - so you are really popular with your buds - that's a GREAT compliment however - they don;t give a rip about your internship or your survival of the fittest (schooling) they just want YOU to make their lives easier - so that's human nature love 'em - hug 'em - LEAVE 'EM - graciously ( I know u can) and GOOD LUCK on that internship Have a great 2008!
  2. It sounds like resigning your full-time position might be the best thing for you in that situation. Can you afford to do that? If you can afford it, then I would do it. You should definitely prioritize school over work for right now. The only other suggestion: maybe try withdrawing from a couple courses to something more manageable. It would lengthen your college career though, so I would only do that if you absolutely cannot afford to resign from your full-time job.
  3. typically they only reccomend a full time student to work part time 20 hours a week..... and with i'm guessing 6 classes you have several hours of homework to do each night... and if an internship is required for your major you will need to get your GPA up so quitting will be good but if an internship is not required it almost could be better to keep your grades where they are and work full-time it shows that your able to juggle unless you think scoring an internship could get you into the door at a company or a similar company you would like to work for... But remember not all internships pay.
