How do i turn a Resignation letter into asking for a small reference at the end?

Any suggestions for adding in at the end that i need a reference or recommendation for my nexxt job? Also, I am moving to another state, what is the best way to mention that in the letter?

1. go to the website below..it has everything you need. it even has sample resignation letters. about.com also has a large area on resigning and such. if you are leaving your job because you are moving to another state... that is very simple.... you say you are resigning because you are relocating... yada yada yada. just make sure you express your gratitude and all that jazz... ham it up a bit but not too much. most bosses will gladly give a reference if you are relocating.
