can i send backdated resignation letter to company by Registered Post?

I am joining new company from 1st october 2009, After getting my salary from my old company around 8th october for month of september 2009, i am thinking to send the resignation letter via registered post effective from 1st october 2009 stating the reason of resignation as plan to go for MBA fulltime course for which i will need to do full time study for Entrance exams. ?

1. You have to send back date what you want with your detail proposer.
2. You seem to be making a mistake that will mar you for lifetime. You have to be frank with your existing employers as you would be expecting a relieving certificate to be submitted to your new employers. By withholding facts may deprive you of your job from the old and new company also. MBA full time and joining new company do not match. Your decision needs to be evaluated afresh and the required action.
